What's happening in Gadchiroli?

In rural Gadchiroli, many children walk between 6 to 10 kilometers every day just to attend school. With only 18.2 kilometers of public transportation available across the entire district, most villages remain isolated and inaccessible—especially during monsoon season or extreme heat. Education is not just inconvenient; it’s physically exhausting, often unsafe, and out of reach.Yet the desire to learn is strong. These children are not lacking in ambition—they're lacking a way to get there.

How Is S&S Charity Responding?

Bicycle Access & Distribution: We identify students most in need—those at risk of dropping out due to travel challenges—and provide them with high-quality bicycles built for rural terrain. Every distribution is handled through local partnerships to ensure safety, transparency, and dignity.

Each bike costs just ₹5,100 ($59.25) — but the impact lasts a lifetime.100% of donations go directly toward getting students to school safely and consistently.

School Collaboration: We work directly with local schools to monitor attendance and ensure our support is making a lasting impact. Our goal is not just to get students back in class—but to keep them there.
