Blankets for Border Angels: Warming Hearts, One Child at a Time

S&S Charity partnered with Border Angels, a migrant justice organization based in San Diego, to bring comfort and warmth to children in need during the winter season.

What's happening at the Border?

Every year, thousands of migrants—many of them children—arrive at the U.S.–Mexico border seeking safety, dignity, and a better life. But in shelters and temporary housing, especially during the cold winter months, basic necessities like warmth become a daily struggle. Border Angels serves vulnerable migrant communities through advocacy, humanitarian aid, and direct action. Many of the families they support come from long journeys and face harsh living conditions while waiting for legal processing, protection, or resettlement. No child should ever be cold. No family should ever feel forgotten.

How Did S&S Charity Help?

We launched a holiday fundraising campaign to support Border Angels' work and address one urgent need: warm blankets for children.

Winter Blanket Drive: Through generous donations, we raised $800—100% of which went toward purchasing brand new blankets for children in shelters supported by Border Angels. This small act of kindness made a real impact: warmth, comfort, and care during a season of uncertainty.
Direct Action, Direct Impact: We believe in meeting needs where they exist. That’s why every item was purchased, delivered, and distributed in close coordination with the Border Angels team to ensure transparency and effectiveness.

Why Border Angels?

Since 1986, Border Angels has promoted a culture of love through education, outreach, and humanitarian relief. From placing water in the desert for border crossers to advocating for asylum-seeking families, they remain on the frontlines of compassionate migrant justice. We’re honored to stand with them—and with every child whose future deserves warmth, dignity, and care.
